Hotfix
Swarovski Hotfix
Hotfix (HF)
Hotfix means that a specially developed, heat sensitive glue is applied to the back (underside) of Flat Backs(defn). This glue is very flexible. The glue is activated between 120°C - 170°C and when activated, will permanently bond the crystal to the material during the cooling off process.
Hotfix Transparent (HFT)
This variation of the Hotfix technology uses a patented bonding agent. This bonding agent is applied to the reverse (underside) of non-mirror finished Flat Backs. The result is a very interesting "rainbow" effect as the crystal takes on the colours of the carrier materials.
No Hotfix (NoHF)
All articles that do not have glue pre-applied to the under/reverse side are considered No Hotfix.
