Technicolor Dream Cross on Long Charm Chain

Inspired by Joseph and the Technicolor Dream coat, this one-off Technicolor Dream Cross is just in time for Christmas in its resplendent sparkle and glory encircling hand made custom felted beads, each individually bead bezelled and joined and strengthened into a truly unique large cross.

Each felted bead is individually "captured" by Swarovski crystals in a "capture weave". Color, softness, nature, and precision man-made incomparable sparkles combines to celebrate one of the most beloved and beautiful symbols in the world - the Cross.

Long chain (approximately 34cm circumference) for easy wear. Aluminum chain in gold and black - lead and nickle free - has been manually re-chained so that they are joined and strong. Baubles, glass pearls, crystals are wire-wrapped onto the chain adding to its rich tapestry of color and life.

Note: Dream Cross is easily attached to and detached from chain via lobster clasp, which is wire-wrapped onto chain.

Construction Notes

As with earlier crosses, done in "capture weave". Felt balls are immensely secure as the beaded bezel is very tight around it and sewing in done INTO the felted bead for max. security. Arms of the cross or reinforced again after completion to give it more rigidity and strength.

There is some minimal seed-bead embellishment on some of the felted balls. The bicone crystals for the center ball is larger (6mm) and the rest are 4mm bicones.

The chain - large links - Aluminum in gold and black (chains available from ClearlyChosen) - are joined together by manually re-chaining link by link. This looks much better and is also stronger and more substantial.

Miscellaneous charms are individually wire wrapped onto the double-linked chain, with additional swirls over some of the charms for added effect. The charms do not go onto the part of the chain that will sit around the back of neck.
