The Bling of Swarovski & Flowers - felted, beaded bracelet

Following on from the "Square Circle of Flowers" felted bracelet and how comfortable that was, I was egged to create another. And boy, I love this bracelet. It is comfy, it is full of Swarovski bling, it is light, and warm and comforting. And I love it's special look. So though I seldom keep too many jewelry pieces (for me, the inescapable joy is in the making rather than the wearing), this one is a keeper :)

Swarovski rivoli buttons (10mm) are used in the joinings of piece to piece and Swarovski CAB flowever beads are used for oomph and bling - which I just love. Seed beads are Toho and Miyuki seed beads. 21micron wool roving is used for the felting.

Some Construction Notes

This is done piece by piece. It wears wonderfully (even if I do say so myself) but as you can tell, the underside may not be as neat as I could make it. I need to have more judicious choise of thread colors. But apart from that, I am very happy with the piece.

After completion of the separate pieces, each is sewn onto the next piece, making sure that it does not pop up when it is curved over the wrist. Then Swarovski button is applied on top of each "joint".

The clasp is made of button and buttonhole. I was not sure if this would work: would it be too hard to button up with one hand? Well - it works and one-handed buttoning up can be done. Yay! Also I find that I don't really need to clasp/unclasp it. I can just wear it like a bangle. Which is a bonus. But it is also helpful to have a functional clasp just in case. The button that is used for the clasp is also top with a Swarovski Crystallized element - a rose montee.
