Transforming felted cabs

This is part of my continuing journey with my handmade felted cabs. Now I am into making cute animals and stuff. This here is Oscar Oot. He was appropriately christened by Janine (maggiebar3) from beading forum australia. His second name is Oot because that was all he could say at birth.

But being a smart chappie and lucky to boot, he met Bianca - a lovely Danish lady with a wise soul - who taught him how to hoot in Danish. So now that he just achieved adulthood, he can "hoot hoot" as adult owls do, and he can also say it in Danish, "woot woot".

Oscar is not very big but he still makes a bit of a hoot.

This is my first brooch ever. I did not have any brooch backs at the time of conception but as Oscar refused to delay delivery, I had to find alternative ways to brooch him. Not the neatest but functional and quite sturdy. The back of the felted brooch has had fabric backing and the pin has a strong ribbon wrapped around one arm and then sewn down all around for strength and durability.

Oscar should be available on ClearlyChosen Etsy shortly. As it is my first brooch, it will be heavily discounted. But only please take Oscar home if you think you will love him properly. Thank you!
