Apple charm

Twilight book

The apple features prominently on the front cover of the first book in the series, entitled "Twilight". As stated by the author, Stephenie Meyer, the apple is the forbidden fruit which represents the forbidden nature of the love between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen. This love, that seems so contrary to nature, is also examplified in the "Lion and Lamb" symbols where Edward Cullen is represented by the Lion and Bella Swan by the Lamb.

Lion charm and Lamb charm

Thomas Sabo lion charmThomas Sabo lamb charm
Both the Apple and Lion & Lamb symbols come from the bible whereby the Apple is the forbidden fruit from the Genesis and the Lion & Lamb is an oft-quoted term used by many preaches to talk of the peace to come when Jesus will reign again and even the wild beasts (lions) and the meek animals (lamb) who hereto to had not gotten along, will come to lie together and roam the world in harmony and peace.

So taken together, these divergent symbols of Forbidden love that is "unnatural" in the known scheme of things are also on the flip-side of the coin, proclaiming a path that would represent the peace when the wild and the meek shall merge.

Camera charm

Pandora camera charmThomas Sabo camera charm
Bella's father, Charlie, gave her a camera as a birthday gift. With the camera, Bella took a photo of Edward and in so doing, discovered later that his image, surprisingly, could be captured in a photograph.

But more than that, the camera represents that momentous birthday where Bella is nearly attacked by some of the Cullen family during her birthday celebration in the Cullen home. This lead to Edward's foolhardy but well-meaning decision to break off with Bella for her own good which lead to a whole series of events including the rush ed plane flight to Italy to try and save Edward's dangerous attempt at suicide.

Plane charm

Thomas Sabo plane charm
The plane represents the desperate flight by Alice and Bella to Italy in a frantic attempt to reach Edward in time to stop him from committing suicide with or without the help of the bloody and ruthless Volturi - the "royalty" vampire coven.

Bikes charm

Pandora bike charmThomas Sabo bike charm
During the period while Edward is away, after breaking up with Bella, Bella undertakes a number of dangerous activities in the hopes of minimizing her pain and loss and to hear Edward's voice (in her head) when she puts herself in danger. In this period, she acquires 2 bikes and renews her friendship with Jacob Black who repairs the bikes for her. One is her bike and the other she gives to Jacob.

It is in this period that they become the best of friends and Jacob Black falls in love with Bella. The bikes represents this period in their lives and the special relationship that they formed.

It is also in this period that Jacob becomes a werewolf - a huge, gigantic "reddish brown" wolf with black eyes.

Wolf charm

Thomas Sabo howling wolf charmThomas Sabo wolf head charm
The wolf is a symbol for the werewolves, the pack to which Jacob Black belongs. It also symbolizes Jacob himself - the second "unnatural" love in Bella's life. And it represents the wolf charm that Jacob presents to Bella as a gift.

The wolf head charm is deliberately set with jet black cubic zirconia, distinguishing Jacob in his transformed werewolf state.

Heart charm

Pandora heart dangle charm
This heart represents not only the glittering love between Bella and Edward, but also the present (crystal heart) that Edward gifts to Bella shortly after he saw the wolf charm that Jacob had given her.

Bear charm

Pandora bear charm
The bear is a reminder of the time when the people in Fork were terrorized by what they thought were the vicious killings by some huge bear (which later turned out to be the work of 2 vampires, Laurent and Victoria).

It is also representative of Emmett Cullen who was mauled by a bear in 1935 and was saved by Rosalie who begged Carlise Cullen to save his life by turning him into a vampire. Emmett and Rosalie later married.

Baby Pram charm

Pandora pram charmThomas Sabo pram charm
This represents the baby girl (Renesmee "Nessie" Cullen) born to Bella and Edward Cullen resulting from their married night together before Bella is granted her wish to become a vampire herself.
