Color Me Joyful

I call this necklace "Color Me Joyful" coz that is what I feel each time I look at it ~ Joyful.
Started off as an experimental piece (as most of my work is!!!) - it is one of those pieces whose final appearance has turned out much more satisfactory than envisaged in the mind.
A soft and pliable crochet necklace with crystals and Stardust beads; accompanied with felted long and round beads in a warm and fun colours. Little chiming bells add to the whole joyousness and fun of this piece which combines sparkly elegance with playful colours.
Materials: This necklace contains Swarovski clear and CAB bicone crystals (5328, 4mm), stardust beads (quality silver plated brass, 4 & 3mm), custom handmade embellished felted beads, crystal encrusted screw-on ball clasp, bells with clapper (silver plated brass)

Necklace - spiral crochet with Stardust beads (3 & 4mm).
Felted beads - custom handmade and embellished. Great with crochet ropes because of the relatively soft bodies of felted beads. Normally, the ends of spiral crochet ropes is a bit problematic as it does not always fit into a bead cap or sit flush and tight against another bead. However because of the "give" inherent in felted balls/beads, the rope can be tightly strung against the felted beads for a seamless look.
Work sequence: make 2 pieces (sides) of necklace. Make the felted beads (wet felting). When dry, embellish. String everything together. The sketch shows the initial idea behind the necklace as well as the materials used.
