Fine Silver Wire Necklace with Sparkly Swarovski Crystals and Pearls
handmade crochet necklace (CC80)
This is my first completed project using fine wire to crochet. Incorporates only Swarovski Elements - a range of Swarovski bicone crystals in various sizes. Similarly the Swarovski flawless pearls.
I am rather pleased with this piece. It sits very well around the neck and the slide-lock clasp is perfect - giving it an easy of use, elegant unobtrusive and secure finish.
Inner edge of the necklace has been folded over for a comfortable feel against the skin. Lower edge has been trimmed off with classic, rounded, matching Swarovski pearls.
Some Construction Notes
Using strong steel crochet hook and fine quality silver plated brass wire (wire diameter: 0.25mm or 30 ga AWG), this was a most pleasurable project. First a whole bunch of delicious sparkling Swarovski pearls and crystals are randomly strung onto the wire. I cannot remember all the colors I used because, I confess, I started this well over a year ago and then I was just too preoccupied with other things to finish this off properly.
